Celebrating over a decade of partnership with Breakfast Club of Canada
By Egg Farmers of CanadaEgg Farmers of Canada is proudly celebrating more than 10 years of partnership with Breakfast Club of Canada. The longstanding collaboration highlights a shared commitment to providing access to nutritious eggs and supporting positive eating habits among youth.
Breakfast is key to a child’s learning and overall well-being, but 1 in 3 children in Canada arrive at school feeling hungry.1 This can negatively affect students’ energy levels, concentration and problem-solving skills. Our partnership works to tackle this issue by providing nutritious eggs to schools across our country.

Demand for school breakfast programs is growing
In recent years, the demand for school breakfast programs has grown significantly. Breakfast Club of Canada and its community partners report an average 30% increase in the number of children served in existing programs.2
In the 2024-2025 school year alone, Egg Farmers of Canada made major contributions that helped address the growing need, including distributing over 100,000 coupons for a dozen eggs and 265,000 hard boiled eggs.3 This support has helped more children start their day with nutritious eggs, allowing them to focus on learning.
The power of eggs for breakfast
A versatile and nutrient-dense option, eggs are a perfect fit for a breakfast program. Two eggs offer 13 grams of high-quality protein, and many micronutrients, including 100% of a child’s daily choline requirements, providing mental and physical energy that children need to thrive in the classroom and improve learning and memory.4
Feedback from educators confirm that breakfast programs including eggs have an impact in their classrooms.
