Research and Development

Egg Farmers of Canada continuously invests, on behalf of Canadian egg farmers, in research and development related to egg production, poultry science, animal and human nutrition, and environmental technologies and techniques. Our research is conducted at universities across Canada by scientists who are experts in their fields. EFC has established a program of funding Research Chairs with the intent of achieving research excellence and to help inform and cultivate the next generation of scientists. Our research partnerships extend to national and international groups including the Poultry Research Centre, Canadian Poultry Research Council, Egg Nutrition Center, Coalition for Sustainable Egg Supply, Université Laval, Dalhousie University, McGill University, University of Alberta, University of Guelph, University of Manitoba and Université de Montréal.
